Excuse me, but is this the most obvious case of pandering to bigots since John McCain was caught rimming Reverend Hagee? Larry Craig will be arrested in 10 more public bathrooms and David Vitter will be caught with 12 more working girls before this bill has a snowball’s chance in hell of ever passing one single vote.

The Party of Jesus faithful are deathly afraid of equal rights under the law for all loving couples, sure, that much is true. But with gas prices over $4 a gallon and over 4,000 dead in a war of imperialist aggression based on a pack of lies, the Homo Agenda may not be the most important consideration for Americans not named Sally Kern.

Doctors who have examined 11 victims who have been released from the US Concentration Camp and Torture Facility at Guantanamo Bay have found that each of the 11 former torture victims has suffered permanent harm from the illegal, immoral, and unjust war crimes ordered by Our Glorious Christian Leader. “The evaluations provide evidence of violation of criminal laws prohibiting torture and of the commission of war crimes by U.S. personnel,” said the report by the Cambridge, Mass.-based Physicians for Human Rights.

Also on Wednesday, three former U.S. interrogators told a seminar that abusive techniques were counterproductive and urged that they be banned. “These coercive techniques are not working,” Joe Navarro, a former senior FBI interrogator, said at an event hosted by the Center for Strategic and International Studies and Human Rights First.

Numerous investigations have found that these war crimes were a result of direct orders from Our Glorious Christian Leader.

An investigation by the Senate Armed Services Committee, now partly concluded, already has gone a long way toward explaining the decision to place the United States among the world’s pariah states. In a statement delivered Tuesday, committee Chairman Carl M. Levin (D-Mich.) said: “Some have suggested that detainee abuses committed by U.S. personnel at Abu Ghraib in Iraq and at Guantanamo were the result of a ‘few bad apples’ acting on their own.
